"The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually . . . Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt. (Gen 6:5, 12).
Yes, that's a pretty spot on summary of our times. Over 1 billion babies murdered worldwide through abortion since the mid-1970s, over 250 million people killed by democide (death by the state), two world wars, millions killed by communism, the disintegration of marriage, the disintegration of the family, the redefinition of what it means to be human according to the new gender ideology being shoved down the West's throat. . . .
As Fulton Sheen put it, "the demonic is loose." Division, confusion and complete societal collapse due to the successive abandonment of each of the Christian principles that built western civilization. Sheen got it right when he stated prophetically in 1948: "We are living in the last days of our era."
If you disagree with this analysis, please, for the sake of your family, your country and the good of the Church, wake up.
May and June are two great months to do just that. May is the month dedicated to Our Blessed Mother and June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. And interestingly, the Church wisely juxtaposes the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
May and June are also the two months which really give us the most important parts of the message of Fatima given to the world in 1917 on May 13 and June 13. And the entire context for all of her visitations from May to October 1917 was that the world was rapidly moving away from God and it had a choice to make --just as the Israelites were given that choice before they left the desert and entered a new era in the Promise Land:
"See, I have set before you this day life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to take possession of it. But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you this day, that you shall perish; you shall not live long in the land which you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess. I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice, and cleaving to him; for that means life to you and length of days, that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” (Deut 30:15-20)
1917 launched the world into the "final confrontation" (as St. John Paul II called it) wherein would play out the final battle between God and Satan "over marriage and the family" (as St. Lucia of Fatima wrote to Cardinal Caffara in the early 1980s.
With the founding and launching of the eugenics purposed "Planned Parenthood" movement in the West in 1916/1917 and the rise of Communism in the East after 1917, it became clear what direction the world chose. And that rebellious path leads to only three things: enslavement, death and destruction of all things true, good and beautiful, beginning with the family.
But we were warned . . . repeatedly -- even as far back as Mary's apparitions at La Sallette, France, where Mary pointed out to Maximin: "France has corrupted the universe" [referring to the poisonous philosophies and anti-Christian atheism that came from the French Revolution in 1789]. That corruption would later provide all the foundations for Marxist Communism, which would begin its world-wide conquest in 1917.
But heaven already had the remedy and weapon against the great evil about to spread like a virus throughout the world. It was sending the Blessed Mother to Fatima in 1917 (which was preceded by the apparitions of Guardian Angel of Fatima, "the Angel of Peace" in 1916).
On May 13, she gave the first two ingredients of the remedy: to do penance for our sins and the sins of others, and to pray the rosary every day for peace. One month later on June 13, Our Blessed Mother announced the heart of her message . . . that the remedy is ultimately HER heart. She told Lucia on 13 June 1917:
"Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved. He wishes to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart throughout the world. I promise salvation to whoever embraces it."
"My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way which will lead you to God."
Our first questions from those words are: "Refuge from what?"and "What kind of refuge is Mary talking about?" Let's look at the first question: "Refuge from what?" This is where we return to the opening words of this post: the world is living in the new times of Noah.
God isn't going to allow humanity to continue offending him in such egregious ways (as it was in the times of Noah) without chastising and purifying the world. If the evils of the 20th century which I summarized above do not merit God's anger and chastisement, then He owes Sodom and Gomorrah a personal apology.
That is what makes the last 100 years so unfathomable as it pertains to the revelation of God's mercy . . . that God had not acted sooner. Imagine what evil God sees and all at once. The staying of His hand of justice is a testament to His mercy which is truly beyond comprehension. But as Our Lord told St. Maria Faustina in the 1930's about our times, this special time of mercy is a limited time offer:
"You will prepare the world for My final coming. (Diary429)
"Speak to the world about My mercy ... It is a sign for the end times. After it will come the Day of Justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fountain of My mercy. (Diary 848)
"Tell souls about this great mercy of Mine, because the awful day, the day of My justice, is near. (Diary 965).
"I am prolonging the time of mercy for the sake of sinners. But woe to them if they do not recognize this time of My visitation. (Diary 1160)
"He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice." (Diary 1146).
What might God's justice look like? In the approved messages of Our Blessed Mother to Sr. Sasagawa at Akita, Japan on 13 October 1973, Mary said
"If men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge [the flood of Noah], such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests."
Fire falling from the sky . . . does this refer to a nuclear war? If we consider the prophetic consensus of credible modern Catholic mystics, that seems plausible. In a recent interview with Lifesitenews on June 2, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò (former papal nuncio to the United States) spoke about the approved apparitions and messages given to Jessica Gregorio of at Civitavecchia (on the outskirts of Rome) from 1995-1996 when a statue of the Blessed Mother wept blood 13 times. Among messages she received from various figures in heaven, she received one explaining what is called "the third secret of Fatima". Moreover, she was given a private audience with Sr. Lucia of Fatima and compared their accounts, which Jessica said where identical.
Jessica revealed to Archbishop Viganò that she received a recent message on 23 December 2018. According to Archbishop Viganò: "the main message is the [the demons] want to destroy the family. And then the apostasy in the Church and the risk of a thurd world war." Our Lady's message to Jessica also said:
"Children, the Church has entered the period of great trial, and in many of you the faith will become unstable."
But Our Lady also pointed out the remedy to Jessica in a great plea to Italy (and, really, to peoples of all nations):
"Consecrate yourselves all to me, to my Immaculate Heart, and I will protect your Nation under my mantle now full of graces. Listen to me, please, I beg you! I am your Heavenly Mother, I beg you: do not make me weep again seeing so many of my children die for your faults by not accepting me and allowing Satan to act."
The remedy of Fatima reiterated here once again. The answers to today's crises are so simple. That's why Our Lady chooses children and humble souls.
Lastly, I wish to drive the point in further that consecration and true devotion to Mary's Immaculate Heart is the Noah's ark of our times by looking at the approved messages given in 1987 and 1989 to Gladys Quiroga de Motta of San Nicolas, Argentina. Mary at San Nicolas is referred to as Our Lady of the Rosary (as she was also at Fatima).
The first message was given by Our Blessed Mother to Gladys on 6 February 1987:
My daughter, in this time, I am the Ark for all our brethren! I am the Ark of peace, the Ark of Salvation, the Ark where my children must enter, if they wish to live in the Kingdom of God. (6 February 1987)
And to drive home this truth even more, Our Blessed Lord said spoke the following to Gladys on 20 December 1989:
I want a renovation of the spirit, a loosening from death and an attachment to life. The Heart of My Mother is the chosen one so that what I request becomes reality. The souls will find Me through Her Immaculate Heart.
Previously the world was saved with Noah’s Ark. Today the Ark is My Mother. By means of Her, the souls will be saved because it will bring them towards Me. Whoever rejects My Mother, rejects Me.
Fatima, Akita, Argentina Civitavecchia . . . It's the same plea by Our Blessed Mother for our hearts to turn to Jesus and it's the same remedy and weaponry against Satan repeated again and again: daily Rosary and consecration to Immaculate Heart of Mary.
And this is GREAT NEWS! With Noah there was only one material ark. If you weren't on it, you didn't survive. Period.
With the new ark of salvation, it is Mary's Immaculate Heart. Mary is revealing to the whole world that no matter how great the chastisement/purification is that is coming, her Immaculate Heart is accessible from every part of the earth. Her refuge can be ANYWHERE. We enter it by consecrating ourselves and our families to her. Stay faithful to her message at Fatima, pray the Rosary daily and have confidence in her protection (as she said at Akita) and we have nothing to worry about.
Sound unrealistic? Look up the story of the eight German Jesuits at Hiroshima who lived eight city blocks from where the atomic bomb was dropped by the United States on 6 August 1945. They survived the blast! When Fr. Hubert Schiffer was asked about how they all survived (and with NO radiation poisoning), he simply said: "We lived the message of Fatima in our priory. We prayed the rosary every day." There you go. Our Lady has you covered.
The only question is -- have you put yourself in the refuge of Mary's Immaculate Heart?
If you haven't, then TODAY, RIGHT NOW, is the best time to do it. And I'll make it super easy by providing you at the end of this post my favorite prayer of consecration to Mary written by St. Maximilian Kolbe. You can also view it on the Fulton Sheen Institue website here (there's a beautiful version for families as well ).
Recite it slowly and meditate on every word. It is the PERFECT summary of what refuge in and devotion/consecration to Mary's Immaculate Heart truly means.
As the Liturgy of the Church attributes to Mary Proverbs 8:35: "He who finds me, finds life." This is why Mary is at the heart of countering a culture of death and rebuilding the culture of life.
We can therefore summarize the significance of Mary’s visitations the last 200 years by saying that Mary has come to cry out: “Last call to board the ark of salvation!”
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches (Rev 2:29).
SPECIAL MESSAGE TO FATHERS
Fathers, are you leading your family to the ark of salvation during these times? Will we be like those who relativize and trivialize the seriousness of our times? Or will we be the Noahs of our families and for other families who will recognize the significance of Mary’s visitation today as the living ark of salvation in whom we must lead our families and as many families as possible to this refuge of sinners?

OFFICIAL ACT OF CONSECRATION TO MARY

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to thee. I, N___, a repentant sinner, cast myself at thy feet humbly imploring thee to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to thyself as thy possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases thee. If it pleases thee, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of thee: "She will crush your head," and, "Thou alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world."
Let me be a fit instrument in thine Immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed Kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever thou enters, one obtains the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through thy hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
V. Allow me to praise thee O Sacred Virgin.
R. Give me strength against thy enemies.
